May 20th - Ras y Gader
A race to the top of one of Wales' highest mountains and then back down. Starting and finishing in Dolgellau this is a seriously competitive event that proper fell runners love. It will be a big test and a good training event for Celtman.
June 17th - Celtman!
One of the hardest extreme triathlon events in the World and a big focus of mine for 2017. After finishing 2nd last year I am hoping to go one step higher. With more experience of triathlon and the event I hope to have the fitness I need to do it.
June 24th - The Monster
One for those who are not scared of big days on the bike. The Monster is the toughest sportive in the UK and with 2 distance options for 2017 it has got even harder. 200km with 4000m climbing or a crazy 300km with 6500m climbing.

Ouch.

July 16th - Etape du Tour
Re-visiting this iconic event for the first time since 2012. The buzz and thrill of a closed road event with thousands taking part. While Sportives are not races in the UK, on the continent they most certainly are.
July 27th - Alpe d'Huez Triathlon
Following my trend of picking the harder, more interesting triathlon events I will be heading to the Alps to tackle the AdH Triathlon. It does not fit into a particular distance specification, such as Sprint or Olympic. The race has a 2.2km swim followed by a 135km bike finishing with a climb up the mighty Alpe d'Huez before a 20km mixed surface run to finish.
